Bathroom Remodeling in Green Valley, Henderson NV

Green Valley bathrooms are some of the most common remodels we run in Henderson. The neighborhood's late-'80s through 2000s homes were almost all delivered with the same primary-bath template — drop-in garden tub, separate framed-glass shower, tiled-counter vanity — and most owners are now rebuilding that room as a single curbless wet space.

Working in Green Valley

Almost every Green Valley primary bath we touch started life with a builder-grade drop-in soaking tub in front of the window, a framed-glass shower stall in the corner, and a tile-top vanity with two oval sinks. The remodel almost always re-walls the room: tub out, framed shower out, and a single curbless wet zone built in their place with a linear drain, a freestanding tub if there's room, and a dedicated bench. We re-waterproof to current City of Henderson code, re-run the rough plumbing for the new fixture locations, and rebuild the vanity as a single piece of custom cabinetry. The Green Valley and Green Valley Ranch sub-HOAs don't review interior bath work, so the project goes straight to Henderson plan check.

What a Green Valley bathroom remodel actually looks like

The original Green Valley primary bath was designed for a couple in 1992 — a deep garden tub almost no one ever used, a small corner shower that fogged the room, and a long tile-counter vanity with two undersized sinks. Thirty years later, the fixtures are dated, the grout is failing, the framed glass is hazed, and the layout fights the way the room actually gets used. Almost every Green Valley remodel we run rebuilds the entire wet zone instead of patching it.

The standard rebuild for a Green Valley primary: pull the tub and the framed shower, re-frame the wall between them, and pour a single waterproofed wet area with a linear drain. If the footprint allows, a freestanding soaker goes back in under the window where the old built-in tub lived; the new walk-in shower takes the rest. We hot-mop or use a sheet membrane to current Henderson code, rebuild the vanity as one custom piece (usually 84"–96" with an undermount stone top), and re-do the lighting plan with sconces at the mirror instead of the original soffit fluorescent.

Material-wise, Green Valley is a quartz-and-large-format-porcelain market. The mid-2000s travertine-and-tumbled-stone look reads as dated to most buyers now, so most clients move toward 24"x48" porcelain on the walls and floors, a quartz or quartzite vanity top, and brushed-nickel or matte-black fixture packages from Brizo, Kohler or Hansgrohe. Curbless showers are the default ask — partly for the cleaner look, partly so the room ages with the homeowner.

Permitting and HOA: the Green Valley and Green Valley Ranch sub-HOAs (Green Valley South, The Fountains, The Legacy, etc.) only review exterior changes, so an interior bathroom remodel doesn't need ARC approval. Plans go straight to City of Henderson Building & Safety. We pull the structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing permits in-house so the homeowner never deals with the counter at City Hall.

Timeline runs 7–10 weeks on-site for a full primary, plus 4–6 weeks of selections and material lead time before demolition. Most Green Valley primary-bath projects land between $55,000 and $130,000 depending on stone selection, custom vanity scope and fixture brand. We isolate the work zone with zip walls so the rest of the house stays clean and a working secondary bath stays in use throughout.
