Can you open the kitchen to the living room in a 1970s Las Vegas ranch?

Yes — that's our most common scope inside the City of Las Vegas. We engineer a flush structural beam, pull the City of Las Vegas permit, and pocket the beam into the ceiling so the new opening reads as original to the house.

How long does a Las Vegas kitchen remodel take?

Most Las Vegas kitchens run 8–14 weeks on-site, plus 4–8 weeks of design and material lead time before demolition. We order custom cabinetry at sign-off so material lead runs in parallel with the City of Las Vegas plan check.

Will my Las Vegas home have galvanized pipes that need replacing?

Homes built before about 1980 in Las Vegas commonly have galvanized supply lines. We scope-replace the kitchen wet wall during demo and recommend a whole-home re-pipe quote if your home shows other galvanized signs. Re-piping during a kitchen remodel is far less disruptive than doing it later.

Can you handle a kitchen remodel while we're living in the home?

Yes — that's how most City of Las Vegas kitchens get done. We set up a temporary kitchen in the dining room (induction burner, microwave, mini-fridge), zip-wall the work area, and route construction traffic through the garage. The kitchen itself is unusable for roughly 6–8 weeks of the on-site window.

Do you reuse any of the existing cabinetry or appliances?

Sometimes. Recent Sub-Zero / Wolf / Miele appliances in good condition can be integrated into the new design. Cabinetry reuse is rarer — most older Las Vegas cabinetry was built to the 21" depth and doesn't accept modern hardware. We'll be straight with you about what's worth keeping during the walk-through.

Discovery & site walk

We walk the home, measure as-built, listen to how you actually use the kitchen, and align on scope and budget before anyone signs anything.

02Weeks 2–6

Design & material selections

Architectural drawings, full 3D renders and a complete spec book — cabinetry, stone, tile, hardware, appliances. You sign off on everything before we order.

03Weeks 6–10

Permits & material lead time

We submit permits and place every order in parallel. Custom cabinetry is the long pole; stone and appliances follow. Demo starts only when materials are on-site.

04Weeks 11–13

Demo & rough-in

Selective demo, structural opening (if any), plumbing rough, electrical rough, HVAC adjustments. Inspections passed before close-up.

05Weeks 14–17

Cabinetry, stone, appliances

Cabinet install, template-and-fabricate stone, appliance install, tile and paint. The kitchen takes shape in this window.

06Weeks 18–20

Finish & handover

Plumbing trim, electrical trim, punch list, deep clean, walk-through. You get a binder with every spec, warranty and care guide before we hand over the keys.

The City of Las Vegas housing stock skews older than Henderson and Summerlin — 1960s–1990s ranches in Paradise, Lone Mountain, Charleston Heights and Spring Mountain corridor. That means closed-off cooking layouts, 21-inch upper cabinets, original galvanized supply lines in places, and undersized electrical panels. Most full kitchen remodels inside the City of Las Vegas include a partial re-pipe of the kitchen wet wall and an electrical-service review.

City of Las Vegas Building & Safety plan-review turnaround is typically 2–4 weeks for kitchen remodels. We pull all four permits (structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) in parallel rather than sequentially to keep the schedule moving.

Hard-water mineral content across the City of Las Vegas is high enough to chew through chrome faucets within a few years. We default to PVD-finish brushed brass, matte black or polished nickel on all kitchen builds inside the city, and recommend a kitchen-line softener loop on luxury builds.
